‘04 V70R, 230,000 miles, $3,995. Looks clean. Here’s a link:

10K more and it’ll have made it to the moon. I’d get a mechanic you hire to evaluate it before purchase. But it’s a handsome beast.

230,000 miles NOPE NOPE NOPE.

It looks clean, but that mileage is scary.

Naaa, at that mileage it’s just getting started since most major things should hopefully have been replaced by then. If not, then yes, run far away.

It is. But it’s really clean in the photos.

I bet there’s a Volvo mechanic in Richmond, VA that could take a look...

That’s my thought process.

Can’t be *THAT* bad.
Oh, so the passenger headlight went out on our ‘06 A3 3.2. It’s $499 for a replacement.

It does look very clean, but that mileage would scare me with any car.

I’ve purchased 3 cars with more mileage. Just make sure you do your homework and look over any service records.

Yeah, or hit the Car Guy’s site’s Mechanix Files - punch in a ZIP and find an expert.

Don't go through the dealer!

Mmmm depends.....
High mileage cars constantly break with age and mileage and the V70R wasn’t exactly a reliable beast.

Oh, never. The 3.2 had the xexon lights, that cost a million dollars, though.

lol, I picked up my avant with 260k.

Hard to say because my dad’s T5 (FWD, less powerful R) has 207K miles and runs like a sewing machine thus far, but I’m not sure how AWD and +53 horsepower would affect reliability as well as the complex electronics.

Holy shit! How many miles are on it now?

273k, still cranks like a champ! lol But cars were made differently back then.

Tis true.
How many miles do you want to put on her?
